t was such an emotional day for us at this zoo. The whole day we watched TV and followed the historic inauguration of the first back president of the United States of America. It is such a beautiful sight. People around the world celebrated the departure of GW and with great hope welcomed Barak Hussein Obama. Many of us took the day off work and all races, in my unit, united and cooked a variety of dishes fully aware of the historic significance of this awesome day. I have seen so many heinous events at the zoo and very few “joyful” moments. Today was indeed a joyful day and, for those few hours, we were all regular human beings. I am aware that this atmosphere will not last. Not even till tomorrow but despite its short time it will energize me for weeks to come. I have decided to promote such gatherings and will strive to “create” events and use any pretext to unite the people on a positive note. Even if nothing comes out of it, at least we can say that we had a good meal.
